You Have: Money to Invest

Many have spent entire careers in this region, enjoying Pittsburgh's status as a "Livable City".

But for decades the default option has been to ship our capital to the coasts to be held in the financial economy. The deindustrialization that started in the 70's is widely discussed, but few fail to recognize the financialization of the real economy. For example, Henry Hillman seeded half of Kleiner Perkins' first fund and one third of KKR's first fund.

We believe opportunities to invest locally should go beyond real esate investment, and venture track start ups.

We deserve more options

The great fortunes of the past that have left great legacies in the form of foundations have greatly contributed to this region in addition to the many other anchor institutions. We are positioned well for the future, and have an opportunity to build upon what they have started. An unsung hero when discussing anchor institutions are the independent closely held family businesses that remain true to their customers, employees, and this region. Together with individuals who are eager to invest along side them in this region, we can forge the next chapter in the regions history.
